Dom Flemons - In Concert
Dom Flemons will perform at the Gaston County Public Library-Main Library on Saturday, February 23 at 11:00 a.m. This event is free to the public and recommended for teens and adults.
Known as “The American Songster,” Flemons has recently been nominated for the International Folk Awards 2018 Artist of the Year, and his new album, Black Cowboys, released in March 2018, has been nominated for a 2019 GRAMMY award for Best Folk Album. Copies of the album will be available for purchase.
Flemons has been touring professionally around the globe for more than ten years presenting traditional folk and roots music to diverse audiences. Flemons has performed as a soloist at prestigious venues, such as Carnegie Hall, Cecil Sharp House, and the Grand Ole Opry, just to name a few.
The program is supported by the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. The series also receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Gaston Arts Council, Friends of the Gaston County Public Library, and the Ralph S. Robinson Family Foundation.
